The singing bowls originate from Tibet/Himalaya region. It's said that Buddha brought the tradition back as it was kept a secret by the monks and lamas. By using rhythm and frequency, we can entrain our brainwaves and it then becomes possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur). Sound healing helps reduce stress, anxiety and depression. It balances and clears the mind and can lead to a calmer, happier you with an overall holistic healing. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese medicine-based approach to treating a variety of conditions by triggering specific points on the skin with needles. “Each acupuncture needle produces a tiny injury at the insertion site, and although it’s slight enough to cause little to no discomfort, it’s enough of a signal to let the body know it needs to respond,” Kempisty says. “This response involves stimulation of the immune system, promoting circulation to the area, wound healing, and pain modulation.” Contemporary research on acupuncture relies mainly on this theory. In acupunctures original form its believed that the human body is filled with an invisible life-giving force that is called ‘qi’ and when the qi is flowing well and going to all the right places, then a person would experience good mental and physical health. When the qi was flowing incorrectly (blocked or deficient) that would result in illness. We only use single use disposable needles of the highest quality. The acupuncture needles stay in for about 20 minutes in total. Acupuncture has been proven to have an evidence effect on - Muscular and chronic pain (usch as neck and back pain etc) - anxiety and depression - Sciatica - Headache and migraines - hypertension - insomnia - menstrual cramps, menopause symptoms, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances etc - morning sickness - sprains - strokes Duration: 60 minutes
A cupping treatment feels sort of like a firm massage. As a result of the vacuum created by the cup, the skin and tissue is partly sucked into it. Which in turn increases blood circulation, activates the lymphatic system and reduces stagnation. Static cupping can therefore be an effective method of treating trigger points and removal of blockages in the body. It’s also said to improve the flow of your “qi” (pronounced “chee”). Qi is a Chinese word meaning life force. Facial cupping has been shown to: - increase oxygen-rich blood circulation - strengthen skin and connective tissues - stimulate cells responsible for collagen production - relax muscle tension Because of this, the practice is said to: - brighten skin - minimize the appearance of scars, fine lines, and wrinkles - tone chin, jawline, neck, and décolletage - decrease puffiness - regulate oil production - improve nutrient delivery and product absorption The cups used are by the Swedish brand Curam that barely leaves marks.
